Commitment to mastery of technique, refinement of artistry, and ongoing pursuit of knowledge.

As a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner, Valissa Willwerth has trained under certified equine bodywork coaches, mentors and instructors throughout the United States and in Germany.  She has assisted Masterson Method instructors at two and five day seminars both in the US and in the UK.

Certification in The Masterson Method® is a demanding course of study, requiring nearly 500 hours of combined instruction, coursework, case studies, coaching, and hands-on equine bodywork. Only about 300 individuals worldwide have completed the process.

Valissa combines her extensive education in bodywork technique with her strong analytical skills and highly intuitive nature. This powerful combination gives her a solid, knowledge-based foundation of equine biomechanics to support her acute, sensitive and subtle "feel" when working directly on the horse.

Prior to her life as a professional equine bodyworker, Valissa spent several decades as a professional concert violinist and teacher.  For 19 years she has been a regular guest musician with The Philadelphia Orchestra and has toured and performed throughout the United States, Asia, Europe and South America.  She holds a Doctorate in Violin Performance from Rutgers University and has taken additional courses in equine studies from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.

Valissa brings to her equine bodywork practice the same commitment to mastery of technique, refinement of artistry and ongoing pursuit of knowledge that she has achieved as a professional violinist.  For her there is no other way.
